We built TheTutorLink because tutoring platforms had drifted in the wrong direction — taking 20–25% of every lesson, layering on subscription tiers, and pushing students toward bundled packages they didn’t need.
Why we exist
The best tutors we know — the ones who actually move grades — were quietly leaving the big platforms. Their rates were being squeezed, their relationships with students got fragmented across messaging gates, and parents kept asking why a £30/hr lesson cost the family £40 by the time card and platform fees were added.
We wanted a marketplace that paid tutors what students paid, minus a small, transparent cut to keep the lights on. So we built one.
How we’re different
- 5% platform fee. Taken from the tutor’s payout, not added to your bill.

- Vetted tutors. Every profile is reviewed by a human moderator, not just an automated check.
- Free trial. 30 minutes, no card. If it doesn’t click, walk away.

TheTutorLink is built and run by ND Media Ltd, a UK company based in London. We’re a small team focused on making the booking experience honest, the search useful, and the platform itself invisible — so tutors and students can get on with the lesson.
